For more than a century The Kew Guild has been the thread of continuity that binds present staff and students to those who have gone before.

Membership of the Kew Guild CIO is open to anyone who is interested in furthering its purposes, and who, by applying for membership, has indicated his, her or its agreement to become a member and acceptance of the duty of members set out in clause (9) (3) of the Kew Guild CIO Constitution

The objects of the CIO :

  • The advancement of horticultural, mycological and botanical knowledge for the benefit of the public, particularly (without limitation) in connection with the work of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
  • The encouragement and advancement of horticultural and botanical education for the benefit of the public, in particular at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, including (without limitation) by the provision of awards, prizes and grants to schools and students.
  • To promote the improvement, preservation and sound management for the benefit of the public of places of natural beauty, gardens and lands of ecological, horticultural, mycological or botanical importance or interest.

The new Data Protection laws are now in force and Members have now received an email explaining the Privacy Policy v.1. We believe we already have your consent to email you about events and activities, learning opportunities, science and horticultural work and outreach into the community but we take your privacy seriously and if you no longer wish to hear from us then you can unsubscribe using the link at the footer of any emails you may receive.
